As the CARA Project Coordinator Gearoid is involved in the coordination of numerous projects. Some of these include, National Inclusion Awards and CampAbilities. As well as this, Gearoid also supports and assists the work of the Training and Education department in CARA.
Gearoid is a graduate from BSc in Health and Leisure Studies specialising in Adapted Physical Activity. He was inspired to work in this area through life experiences and his passion in the area grew stronger through the Adapted Physical Activity stream in the Health and Leisure course at I.T. Tralee.
Gearoid believes strongly in the value of volunteering in places such as CampAbilities, Barretstown, Local Sports Partnerships etc. and how important it has been to him in gaining experience and confidence in the area.
Gearoid is a highly skilled graduate eager to increase opportunities and advocating for people with disabilities.
